CCW/Tactical Pistol:

Class Level:  Advanced Class  

 

Basic Pistol Class/ Knowledge of Firearms is NECESSARY for this class. If you are new/inexperienced on how to handle or use a handgun this class cannot be completed!

 

 Class Summary: This course is a high level intensive class. Our goal in this class to build your knowledge and skills that will allow you to survive a life or death encounter. Our CCW/Tactical Pistol course will leave you confident in your abilities to defend yourself and loved ones. This is a multi day course. We want you to estimate a minimum of 3 separate sessions (or more) of about 2 hours each. You will be shooting at minimum 100-150 rounds of ammunition over the course of the class. You may bring your own ammunition (see our ammunition guidelines here) or purchase ours. There is a lot of live fire in this course, so please consider additional cost of ammunition as you move through your sessions. You will need to pass a high pressure test at the end of your class (if you do not initially pass we will keep working with you free of charge). As soon as the test is successfully completed, we will release your training certificate that will allow you to apply for your CCW at the Sheriff's office of YOUR home county.

 

Upon completion of this course you will:

• Safely handle a firearm at all times 

• Learn the legalities of carrying and using a firearm in real situations

• Improve your basic fundamentals of shooting to make you more comfortable 

• Understand force escalation and Improve your situational awareness and how to stop yourself from getting in danger in the first place

• Learn how to draw quickly and efficiently from concealed to be able to get your shots on the target as quickly and accurately as possible 

• Learn one handed shooting for emergency situations and multiple types of reloads 

• Be confident in clearing the main types of malfunctions so that you don’t ever get “stuck” 

• Know exactly what to do after an incident to protect yourself in the best possible way.

Equipment:

 Eye and ear protection can be provided upon request and all targets are included in the cost of the course.

 

The equipment checklist is as follows:

• Firearm (MUST HAVE YOUR OWN FIREARM. We want you to train with the gun you will be carrying to develop your personal muscle memory).

• Magazines (you will need at least  2 magazines)

• Waist Belt (mandatory) 

• Notebook (for class instruction)

• Holster (must be sized to your gun. UNIVERSAL HOLSTERS ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE)

• Magazine Pouch (if you have one, if not we may or may not have an option that will fit your magazine) 

• Ammunition (if you have your own, if not it may be purchased in store)
